Teams need to have a focus on quality, public-interest information journalism and be based in Namibia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Eswatini, or Lesotho.
DW Akademie is looking for innovative journalism teams who want to strengthen public interest journalism and make quality news sustainable in Southern Africa.
We believe good journalism – telling the truth, providing reliable information, and facilitating meaningful dialogue – deserves viable business models. If you have ideas on how to make this happen, we want to hear from you.
 
Selected teams will receive funding, coaching, training in product development, and join a community of media innovators across Southern Africa.
Who can apply? Teams need to have a focus on quality, public-interest information journalism and be based in Namibia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Eswatini, or Lesotho.
