Freelance journalist Tendai Mandimika  was on 19 September 2016 granted bail by the High Court in Harare on charges of public violence after spending more than three weeks in police custody.

Mandimika was arrested in Harare on 24 August 2016 with 12 other co-accused  during demonstrations against government’s proposed introduction of bond notes.
